At the 2026 International Plantscape Industry Alliance Awards in Florida this year, Green Design received two Gold awards.
Yes, we are proud.
But here is the truth.
Indoor Plant Hire Awards are not won because a project looks beautiful on install day. They are won because everything behind the scenes works flawlessly.
And that begins long before the first plant arrives on site.
It starts at the first consultation
Every successful project begins with a structured sales consultation.
Our team does not simply quote plant quantities. They assess light levels, traffic flow, joinery dimensions, maintenance access, irrigation requirements and long-term viability. They ask the questions that determine whether a space will still look exceptional years from now.
From that first conversation, the project is designed for performance, not just presentation.
That foundation matters.
The internal handover clients never see

Once a project is approved, the real discipline begins.
Specifications are verified. Joinery cavities are measured. Structural requirements are assessed. Irrigation systems are engineered. Risk assessments are documented. Installation staging is planned around building access, loading docks and lift schedules.
Our installers do not work it out on site.
They arrive with coordinated plans that have already passed through sales, operations and technical review.
This seamless internal handover is one of the quiet reasons these Indoor Plant Hire Awards were achieved.
Two projects. Two Gold Indoor Plant Hire Awards.
The first Gold Indoor Plant Hire Award recognised a technically complex commercial installation delivered across two levels of a high rise workplace. More than 315 plants were integrated into architectural joinery, circulation zones and breakout areas, supported by engineered modifications, structural reinforcement and sub irrigation systems designed specifically for long term commercial maintenance.
It was a project defined by coordination, precision and problem solving.

The second Gold Indoor Plant Hire Award recognised a large scale modular living wall measuring 6 metres by 5 metres and planted with more than 600 live plants. Installed within a premium commercial tower, the wall required automated irrigation and fertigation systems, strict safety planning and detailed staging within a live building environment.
The result is a vertical landscape that performs as reliably as it presents.
These were two very different projects.
One focused on integrated interior planting across multiple environments.
The other centred on a single architectural living wall at significant scale.
Both were assessed against international criteria covering installation quality, complexity, sustainability, safety and long-term performance.
Both achieved Gold.
What the judges actually measure for indoor plant hire awards

The International Plantscape Awards are judged anonymously against strict industry criteria for design, installation, safety, sustainability and long-term performance.
Projects are not compared against each other. They are measured against a professional benchmark.
That means presentation alone is never enough.
Judges assess engineering decisions, installation quality, irrigation strategy, safety planning and long-term maintenance foresight. They are evaluating whether a project will perform years from now, not just impress on day one.
Both projects met that benchmark.
Built for longevity, not applause

Award winning projects are not judged on how they look on the day of installation. They are judged on how they will perform over time.
Both projects were designed with long-term care in mind. Plant environments were matched to the conditions of each space, maintenance access was considered early, and servicing schedules were built around how the spaces would actually operate day to day.
The goal was simple. Create installations that continue to thrive long after handover, not just impress on day one.
Nothing was retrofitted. Nothing was improvised.
Long-term success was engineered into the design.
The part you never see
There is another layer that supports outcomes at this level.
Clear proposals. Defined scopes. Structured invoicing. Detailed plant registers. Seamless internal handover between sales, operations, installation and service teams.
Clients experience calm because internally, there is structure.
We see the finished greenery.
What judges are really recognising is the discipline behind it.
The standard we hold ourselves to

Receiving two Gold Indoor Plant Hire Awards confirms something we have always believed.
Exceptional indoor plant hire is not about decoration.
It is about coordination.
It is about engineering.
It is about long-term care.
From the first consultation to final invoicing and ongoing maintenance, every stage contributes to the outcome.
Two projects.
Two Gold Indoor Plant Hire Awards.
One consistent standard.
